In Northern Ontario sunsets are spectacular. In the heat of summer there’s not a single night when you don’t hear thunder on the horizon. The stroms rarely find you, but the humidity which creates them also creates these fantastic colours, which fade deep into red before the sun disappears. When canoing in the north, there are a few facts of life. Two are as follows: 1. a sunset on the water is one of the most beautiful things you can see. 2. a sunset on the water before you’ve pitched camp is one of the worst feelings you can have.
