The bleeding heart is a distinctive flower. They grow on long thin branches, with dozens of flowers suspended in a perfect line like christmas lights for spring. Only one angle is worth shooting: right from the end of the branch. There’s a common theme in my shooting which stands out here. Photos aren’t meant to tell the whole story. In fact, most of the time the best photos lie. A clear photo, which makes all apparent is uninteresting. A subject alone in a frame of depth, colour, and obscurity is a subject who grabs your attention. Two bleeding hearts, does not a good story make.
